A FREE course to help people cope with depression is to be run in West Lothian.
Depression Alliance Scotland is delivering the free Living Life to the Full course over two days in March, with the support of West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership (CHCP).
The course is designed to help people understand why they might be feeling low, anxious or depressed, and to help them look at ways to change the way they feel.
Theresa Douglas, chair of West Lothian CHCP, said: "With the World Health Organisation stating that depression will be the second greatest disease burden in the western world by 2020, and with Scotland already showing significantly worrying indications of this, it's vital that we work towards a future where depression is recognised, understood and acknowledged to be a common and treatable medical condition."
"West Lothian CHCP, with Depression Alliance Scotland, are striving to ensure that those affected by depression and their carers are provided with the information, support, understanding and care needed."
The course will be held in Bathgate on 16 and 23 March. For more information contact Danny McShane at Dannym@dascot.org or call 0131 467 3050.
