Burns returns to to HPC

FOLLOWING on from the success of last year's sold-out concert, a host of West Lothian's top talents and Robert Burns aficionados are returning to perform some of the national bard's most popular poems and songs at Howden Park Centre in Livingston this month.

Narrated by Jim Bowes, with a short introduction for each piece, the show will feature such local luminaries in the Burns world as Willie Kirk, Alan Devlin, Andy Welsh and popular duet White Satin.

The charity show which drew rave reviews in 2009 is the brainchild of Armadale Bessie Burns Club, partnered Fauldhouse and Crofthead Burns Club.

One of the highlights promises to be the songs performed by local award winning songstress Fionne McQue.

The event takes place on 27 and 28 August. Tickets are 10 and 8 concession and are available from the Howden Park Centre box office on 01506 777666, or online at www.howdenparkcentre.co.uk
