Wrestlers get set to fight it out for title

WHITBURN Legion will host a Royal Rumble tomorrow night as stars from the wrestling world fight it out for the Scottish School of Wrestling (SSW) title.

SSW is bringing the annual Tainted Tradition event to Whitburn for the fourth instalment in its uk-based history, with all the favourite wrestlers on show, including current SSW champion Wolfgang, who is set to appear alongside his valet Candi Kiss, to take on an opponent of his choosing.

BT Gunn, however, is the wrestler in focus as he sets out to break a four-year curse on this event, and aims to successfully defend his SPWO UK title.

The major factor going into this event is the fact no wrestler has ever come back as SPWO UK champion and left with their title.

Muzlem failed in 2007 after a run of 456 days with the belt, and following that Chris Bang and the UK Kid also failed to pass muster.

Confirmed entrants to the title match so far are the Champion BT Gunn, Muzlem, Ken Adams and Lockie.

Other Matches include: Tag team tile action with the champions Rage N Storm, who are set to unveil a third member of the invasion; Effen Awsome will be defending the Hardcore title; Former WWE/ECW Wrestler Jason Rotanda will be issuing a challenge; Grudge match with Davey Blaze and Chris Rampage and SSW fans' favourite Ron Jeremi.

SSW owner and local businessman Murray Stevenson – aka wrestler Muzlem – from Bathgate, said: "It promises to be one of the best SSW shows ever."
