Woman on crash charge

A FEMALE driver who ended up in hospital with serious injuries following a head-on collision with another car has been charged with careless driving.

The incident happened last Saturday at around 8:30pm on the A89 road between Blackridge and Armadale near Standhill Works.

The woman, from Blackridge, had to be freed from her Mondeo by firefighters using cutting equipment after becoming stuck following the collision, before she was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.
