Help Sox put best foot forward

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD lurcher dog who likes to keep up with current affairs is needing a new home.

Animal welfare experts at the Dogs Trust re-homing centre in West Calder are appealing for a new home for Sox, who they say is a "wonderful character".

Centre manager Susan Tonner said: "Sox just loves life. He enjoys playing with his toys and especially loves to run around with a squeaky toy in his mouth.

"He is happy to stay at home alone for part of the day and likes the TV to be left on for him so he can stay up to date with all the news. Sox is a cuddly boy who likes belly rubs and being made a fuss of.

"He would suit a home with children over the age of ten and he's very worried by other dogs and can be very barky when he is on the lead and he sees dogs.

"He needs a new home who are happy and able to help with this."

Sox is vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped and comes with insurance and free behavioural advice.

Anyone who can offer Sox, or any of the other 60 dogs at the centre a home, should call 01506 873459.
