Home wanted for Ruby
ANIMAL welfare experts are appealing for a new home for a one-year-old crossbreed currently living in West Calder's Dogs Trust re-homing centre.
Ruby was handed in when she was heavily pregnant and gave birth to six puppies. Staff at the centre now want to find her a home where she can recapture what's left of her own puppyhood.
Staff say she has been a model mum and patient throughout her stay, but she needs a home where she can be loved and cherished.
Centre manager Susan Tonner said: "Ruby is the sweetest, most affectionate little lady and we want her to have an extra-special home."
"She arrived a very shy and worried girl but just wants to love and be loved now. She is used to dogs and cats and could live with older kids. Ruby is such a little star, with some training and time she will make a wonderful companion. She loves to cuddle and have her tummy rubbed.
"She does need an owner who will be home much of the time so she can have some more help with house training and getting used to being alone."
Ruby is vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped and comes with insurance and free behavioural advice. Contact the centre on 01506 873459.
