Teams to get in a spin for charity

STAFF and members from a county gym are staging their own Tour De France to help raise cash for a kids' charity.

The group from Nuyuu in Livingston will be getting into a spin on Saturday competing against each other on static bikes to see who can cover the most distance in eight hours, with the proceeds going to the River Kids charity.

"We were inspired by the Tour De France to do something a bit different and at the same time raise money," said general manager Amanda Dunn.

"We decided to get two teams, one made up of staff and the other from members.

"The individual who covers the most distance will win a yellow jersey."

The event will be held in the McArthur Glen centre from 9am-5pm.
