WIN: £500 worth of vouchers at new Wilkinson store in Livingston
THE Herald & Post has teamed up with Wilkinson to offer readers a voucher giveaway worth £500 to celebrate the home and garden retailer's opening of its new store in The Centre, Livingston.
Up for grabs is a star prize of 100 with a further 20 runners-up prizes worth 20 – which gets you a lot in Wilkinson's – to spend in the store after it opens at 9am on Tuesday, 7 September.
The lucky winners will be able to pick up footballs for the new season, and then laundry products to keep even the dirtiest of kits in tip-top condition.
Shoppers at the Livingston store will also be able to choose from a fantastic selection of sporting equipment to keep the children entertained at the weekend and a wide array of other essential products covering health and beauty, cleaning, pet care, confectionery, food and snacks, tools and electrics, toys, gardens, homeware, furniture and lights, kitchen and bath, textiles, stationery and books.
West Lothian Provost Tom Kerr will cut the new store's ribbon at the official opening, whilst Livingston FC players Laim Fox, Raffa De Vita, Craig Barr and Paul Watson show off their impressive ball skills alongside store manager Vicky Jerram and Wilkinson's chief executive Stuart Mitchell.
Professional piper Andy Coulter will also be on hand to give shoppers the warmest of welcomes.
Ms Jerram said: "The opening day is shaping up to be a great event, with some wonderful representatives from the local community in attendance, and we hope that as many people as possible come down to join in the fun, as well as take advantage of Wilkinson's legendary low prices."
The store's opening is creating 73 jobs to help boost the local economy and will be situated in the former 12,000 sq ft Woolworths shop in The Centre.
Ms Jerram added: "Livingston, like many Scottish towns, has been hit hard by the recession and we're excited by the prospect of being a new face on the high street, and creating jobs for local people."
