Woman soaked in blood
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was found covered in blood on a Broxburn street.
The 45-year-old was found with a cut to her head, in Church Street at around 10.45pm last Thursday following a vicious attack.
She was immediately taken to St John's Hospital for treatment for serious head injuries, which required stitches.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the attack to come forward.
A spokesman said: "We are asking for anyone who might have been in the area that night, and who might have seen or heard something suspicious, to get in touch.
"Furthermore, we would appeal for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously to contact us."
