Hard work isn't over Bollan warns players
LIVINGSTON manager Gary Bollan has warned his players they still have work to do, despite going 11 points clear at the top of the Third Division following last weekend's 2-1 home win against Stranraer.
It was Livi's eighth win in an unbeaten run of 11 games and many observers believe the Scottish Football League may as well as deliver the championship trophy to Almondvale now.
However, Bollan said: "We cannot start to think that the title is ours. We have to focus on our job which is to get league points and then see what happens after that.
"We have two difficult away games coning up against Queen's Park and Berwick and, if we allow ourselves to become distracted, then we shall be in trouble."
Goals from captain Liam Fox and Robbie Winters established a two-goal lead in the first half but the home fans had to endure a nervy final four minutes after Michael Moore pulled one back for Stranraer.
Devon Jacobs made his first-team debut for Livingston, becoming the third of the Jacobs brothers at the club to do so.
Keaghan, the oldest sibling, has become a regular in the first XI while brothers Kyle, Devon and Sheldon, who are triplets, are progressing at the club, with only Sheldon yet to step up into the first team.
Livi assistant manager Scott Robertson said: "We created plenty of chances and should have been more comfortable, but we won and that's the main thing at this stage of the season."
Nearest rivals East Stirling lost 3-2 at Ochilview to bottom club Montrose. Forfar drew 1-1 with Albion Rovers and fourth-placed Berwick Rangers improved their play-off chances by beating beat Elgin City 2-1.
Queen's Park, who are level on points with Berwick, enjoyed a 2-0 victory at Annan.
