Livi team spirit 'key' says boss
GARY BOLLAN believes Livingston's team spirit will be key in their title push.
The Lions are now 11 points clear at the top of the Third Division after surviving a scare at Annan to grab a point in a goalless draw.
Chances were scarce but it was Harry Cairney's team who created the best of them, with Scott Anson forcing Lions keeper Roddy McKenzie into two first-half saves, while Jack Steele saw his header hit the top of the crossbar in the second half.
The biggest scare came when Annan substitute Phil Storey almost scored in injury time, McKenzie again rescuing Livi with a diving save.
Livi's chances were few and far between, with Raffaele De Vita going closest in the first half, but Bollan, whose team have taken 16 points from 18, was satisfied to have escaped Galabank without defeat.
Bollan said: "Annan's a tough place to come and we knew we'd be in for a difficult game, but it's another good point on the road."
It was Annan's sixth game without defeat and they have now moved into play-off contention.
Harry Cairney said: "I felt we took the game to them and put them under pressure. We could have won it."
