Livi new boys secure win
LIVI'S new old boys Jim Hamilton and Stevie Tosh grabbed a goal each to hand the Lions a 2-0 victory over Albion Rovers on Tuesday at Cliftonhill.
Boss Gary Bollan's decision to bring back the pair just before the transfer window closed looks like it could be a masterstroke as the pair made the difference against Rovers.
It was a dull encounter in Coatbridge but Livingston came up trumps to bounce back from the disappointing 2-2 draw away to Forfar last weekend which saw them lose ground at the top of the table.
The home side had a few chances early on but the only real highlight of the first half was when a Robbie Winters effort which struck the bar.
Rovers had to clear an effort off the line to prevent Livi from taking an early lead in the second half, but the game burst into life when Phil McGrath fouled Winters in the area to hand the Lions a penalty.
McGrath was sent off and Hamilton stepped up to score and rub salt in the wound.
Ten-man Rovers did well to keep a rampant kept Livi at bay until injury time when Tosh slotted home from 12 yards to secure all three points for the Almondvale side.
