SCOTS songstress Lena Martell is back by popular demand at the Regal Theatre in Bathgate next month following her hit performance at the venue in November.

Martell's signature tune, One Day at A Time, sold 2.5 million copies – a record for any British female singer.

The song was so popular it won Martell an entry into the Guinness Book Of Records in 1979 after it stayed in the charts for 36 weeks and spent five weeks at number one in four countries.

Although dogged with health problems throughout her career - she's beaten cancer twice and underwent open heart surgery in 2008 - the hard-working singer is still on the circuit pleasing audiences across the country.

She will be in the West Lothian theatre on Friday, 5 February. The show starts at 7:30pm, tickets £14, £12 concession, from the box office on 01506 630085.
